At the end of a long day, some music

One of the main reasons we’re here on Jura is to work on a recording project that celebrates music as part of a culture – and there’s nothing that brings that home more than a party on an island with only around 200 inhabitants, give or take.

While not everyone attends, the place is pretty well represented across the board, and it’s great to see everyone having a great time, enjoying the music and each other’s company.

We’re keen for anyone on the island who enjoys music – who plays an instrument (regardless of ability) or is just enthusiastic and wants to be part of a music project that embraces the island’s culture and heritage to get in touch via email or come and see us at the hall in Craighouse between 7pm-9pm each evening this week.

Look forward to seeing you there – and happy Halloween, guys. Great to spend it with you.

Incidentally, if you’re not on the island, or from the island, you can become an honorary Diurach (someone from the isle of Jura) at www.isleofjura.com.
